The Lions Men’s Soccer team was out at Aviator Field in Brooklyn on Wednesday 9/3 to play their season opening a game, a Hudson Valley Conference match-up against 2013 regular season champions, Berkeley. With 7 freshmen in the line-up the Lions started off strong keeping the match scoreless for the first 30 minutes, but unfortunately trailed 0-2 at halftime. Berkeley struck for 5 more goals in the second half and outshot King’s 15-7 for the game. It was not the result TKC wanted, but it was definitely something to build off of for the rest of the season. The team travels to Albany this weekend to take on Albany Pharmacy and New Hampshire Tech in tournament action.
