New York, May 17, 2013—The King’s College, a Christian liberal arts college in New York city, has selectively partnered with Oaks Christian Online High School (OCO) to allow online, college-preparatory students the opportunity to earn high school and college credit. King’s dual-credit courses include Economics, Politics, College Writing, History, Old and New Testament Literature as well as The Fantasy and Science Fiction of C.S. Lewis. Junior and Senior OCO students are excited about the possibility of taking up to two online courses per 16 week semester. Course credits count towards matriculation to King’s and to other colleges. Oaks Christian and King’s have a long history together because of a shared mission and emphasis on student leadership through reading, writing speaking and thinking.

The King’s College president Andy Mills said, “I am thrilled to partner with Jeff Woodcock, Headmaster, and Oaks Christian School to provide students with a compelling worldview rooted in the Bible and informed by close study of the great works of philosophy, political theory, and economics. King’s Online provides all of this at a collegiate level for the benefit of the students.”

The King’s College was founded in 1938. With the acquisition of Northeastern Bible College and the help of Campus Crusade for Christ in 1999, King’s moved to two floors of the Empire State building in New York City. The school is currently located at 56 Broadway in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan. King’s mission reflects its commitment to Christian truth and a Biblical worldview while preparing students to engage current culture. The College is accredited through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

The main campus of Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, CA opened in the fall of 2000 and Oaks Christian Online School (OCO) opened for full-time, online students in the fall of 2011.
