Volleyball Drops Season Opener to Cairn

On Friday 8/29 the Lady Lions headed down to Philadelphia for the start of the 2014 volleyball season. The team came up short to the Cairn Highlanders in a 0-3 loss (18-25, 16-25, 14-25).
Jessie Schnoebelen was solid with 10 assists. Alex Rollis had 6 digs. Kelli O’Donnell had 5 kills and 8 digs. Joanne Vo had 2 digs. The freshman trio of Dekka Hunley, Alina Baumgartner and Abena Anim-Somuah made their collegiate debut with Hunley providing 5 kills and an ace, Baumgartner had 2 digs and Anim-Somuah had an assist. Next up is their first Hudson Valley Conference game against Pratt on Thursday September 4.
