King’s students have the opportunity to study in Russia. The summer program begins with a week of classes in New York City and then two and a half weeks studying in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, respectively.
Type of Opportunity: Academic; credit/audit required.
Students are required to take a one-hour language/logistics preparation course in the spring semester and are expected to enroll in two classes (six hours) during the summer program. Exceptions will be made for graduating seniors who do not need the coursework. Such seniors will pay a participation fee, rather than tuition. As well, TKC alumni may participate in the program by paying the participation fee rather than tuition. See the application packet for more details.
Eligibility: students and alumni applying to the program must have taken either Dr. Campbell’s Russian Novels course or Dr. Tubb’s Russia and the West course to qualify for acceptance into the program. Students should have a GPA of 2.8.
