Dr. Dan Siedell Announced as Presidential Scholar

Alumni "Fall Back to Briarcliff Manor"

On Saturday, September 14th, 150 alumni and guests from the Briarcliff Manor and New Castle campuses gathered at the Edith Macy Conference Center in Briarcliff Manor, NY to reminisce, meet current students, enjoy a lakeside lunch buffet, and hear from President Thornbury and members of the Alumni Executive Committee. The event officially kicked off The King's College 75th Anniversary Jubilee.


Fall Retreat Energizes The King’s College Community

After two years without a school-wide Fall Retreat, students rallied together in 2013 at a Fall Retreat weekend that revitalized the college community. During the weekend of September 7 and 8, over 400 students, professors, and staff members piled onto busses and drove from New York City to beautiful Iroquois Springs in Upstate New York.


Reclaiming Carl Henry

As a freshman in college, Gregory Thornbury’s faith was shaken by historical critical approaches to the Bible that describe its formation in purely human terms. Dr. Thornbury found that neither his high school mentors nor the books they recommended could answer his doubts. Then, he remembered his father’s esteem for Carl Henry. Dr. Thornbury went to the college library and began reading Carl Henry’s six-volume magnum opus God, Revelation, and Authority. It was a turning point for Dr. Thornbury.


Two National Debate Champions Recruited to The King's College

Included in this year's elite class of freshmen at The King's College are two national debate champions, Michael Sheetz and Jonah Ortiz.

Both students participated in the STOA National Invitational Tournament of Champions for the homeschool speech and debate league last May. At the tournament, Michael and his partner won the championship in Team Policy Debate. Jonah won an individual Apologetics speech event.


King's Junior Writes Religious Freedom Report During Israeli Internship

King's Junior Jordan Caruso '15 landed two important internships this summer. The first was for Beth Gaines of California's 6th Assembly District and the second was for the Jerusalem Institute of Justice.Caruso's internship for Assemblywoman Gaines included communication coordination for every bill being processed for 2013 and 2014. When a constituent mailed in his opinion, Jordan would put his or her name on a support list for a particular bill.

Alumna Joins King's to Lead The King's Debate Society

Tingstrom will lead and grow the college's debate team, The King’s Debate Society.Tingstrom joins The King's College after graduating from the Regent University School of Law in May 2013. She recently completed associate work with The Keel Group, L.L.C.


Pioneering Alumna Has Successful Casting Director Career

Brooke Sabonis Franqui graduated from The King’s College in 2007, a year before the college introduced the Media, Culture, and the Arts degree. But since walking across the stage at commencement, Brooke has launched herself into a full-fledged career in television. Five years ago, Brooke joinedLeftfield Productions in New York City as a Production Assistant.
