Top-Notch Journalism Professor Announced at The King’s College
The Board of Trustees of The King’s College is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Glader as Visiting Professor of Journalism and Composition.
The King’s College Offers Major in Finance
Beginning in September 2013, The King’s College will give students an honors-level opportunity to major in finance. The new degree program will combine the College’s academically rigorous education and biblical worldview with its location near the New York Stock Exchange and connections with those who work on Wall Street.
The King’s College Offers NYC Theater Experience to Students Nationwide
Coming in June 2014, through a creative partnership between The King’s College and Firebone Theatre, talented college students from all over the country will have a vital opportunity to experience and participate in the New York City theater industry at the NYC Summer Theater Institute.
Alumna Joins King’s to Lead The King’s Debate Society
The King’s College has named Rebecca Tingstrom, J.D. as its next Director of Speech and Debate. Tingstrom will lead and grow the college’s debate team, The King’s Debate Society. Tingstrom joins The King’s College after graduating from the Regent University School of Law in May 2013.
International Ventures Trip Take Students to Brazil, Israel, Turkey, Central Asia, the Middle East, and China
King’s alum Bryan Nance (’09) gives a brief insight into the International Ventures programs to Turkey, Brazil, and Israel. Pioneering Alumna Has Successful Casting Director Career
Brooke Sabonis Franqui graduated from The King’s College in 2007, a year before the college introduced the Media, Culture, and the Arts degree. But since walking across the stage at commencement, Brooke has launched herself into a full-fledged career in television.
Andy Mills Delivers Keynote Lectures to Packed Crowd at Camp-of-the-Woods
From July 13 to July 20, Andy Mills, who has served as The King’s College Interim President since last October, was a keynote speaker at Camp-of-the-Woods, a high-end, 90-acre Christian family conference and resort center nestled in the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York.
King’s Graduates Thrive in Law School
To the surprise of his Legal Writing professor, Bryan Nance, a 2009 King’s graduate, not only received a perfect score on his first assignment, it was the first one the professor had ever given during her ten years of teaching. “I attribute catching-on quickly to my writing training at King’s,” said Nance.
TKC Athletic Director to Coach Men’s Rugby Team at International Tournament in London
Sean Horan, Athletic Director at The King’s College, has spent several years developing a robust athletics program, and his most recent endeavor will take him to Twickenham Stadium in London as he makes international connections for TKC Athletics.
