Jihadi Salafist Expert Speaks in the City Room About Al-Qaeda and ISIS
On November 18, Dr. Mary Habeck, one of America’s leading experts on the global war on terror, spoke at The King’s College to a packed audience in the City Room. Dr. Habeck is the author of Knowing the Enemy: Jihadist Ideology and the War on Terror (Yale University Press), and she delivered a lecture entitled “Understanding Al Qaeda and ISIS.”

Saturday’s cruise aboard the Cornucopia Destiny departed from the 14th Street pier in Hoboken, New Jersey around 1:15 p.m. The weather was warm and mild, and alumni from both campuses enjoyed a sumptuous lunch in the ship’s elegant dining room. When lunch was underway, Alumni Association President Chris Ross ’10 opened the program and conferred the first two alumni awards—the J. Stanley Oakes Award on Adam Kail ’08, and the Distinguished Service Award on Lynn Mitchell ’86.

Davenant Trust Hosts Conference at The King’s College
The Davenant Trust is a non-profit organization founded to support the “renewal of Christian wisdom in the church,” and it seeks to “sponsor historical scholarship at the intersection of the church and academy, build networks of friendship and collaboration within the Reformed and evangelical world, and equip the saints with time-tested resources for faithful public witness.”

Constitution Day Speaker Highlights Parallels Between U.S. Constitution and England’s Magna Carta
Each year on September 17, the United States recognizes the day the U.S. Constitutional Convention first signed and adopted our nation’s Constitution in 1787. This year, The King’s College celebrated Constitution Day with a guest lecture from A. Edward Major, senior counsel at Kagan, Lubic, Lepper, Finkelstein & Gold Attorneys at Law in New York City.
